Description
QORGAU fire-resistant paint for steel air ducts is a water-dispersion suspension containing fillers, special additives and flame retardants. When heated, it forms a heat-insulating barrier that slows the heating and destruction of the structure. The high solid content ensures a durable coating.
Technical specifications
Base: water-dispersion acrylic system. Fire protection level: up to R120 (depending on layer thickness). Consumption: 1.2–1.6 kg/m² per 1 mm of dry layer. Shelf life: 12 months in factory packaging. Packaging: 20 kg bucket.
Surface preparation
The surface of the ducts must be cleaned of dust, dirt, oil and rust. Galvanized or steel surfaces are degreased beforehand.
Application
Surface temperature from +5 °C to +30 °C, air humidity not more than 80 %. Mix thoroughly before use; if necessary, dilute with water (up to 5 % of volume). Methods: brush, roller, airless spraying. Thickness of one layer is 250–350 µm, interval between layers is 1 hour at +20 °C. 2–3 layers are recommended to achieve the required fire resistance.
